"not Always Safe"

For some of us playing safe is not always the way..
Here are some reasons why that may change your day..
Climbing a tree is always fun, but if you climb only so high
the lower branches can snap and you're still done..
Staying in the slow lane isn't always best, cars get rear ended
easily and there is no safety vest..
Don't be afraid of the deep end of the sea, not crazy..
For the hungry sharks love the shallow end for an eating frenzy..
Staring at the green with water all around.. 
Pull out that big club and listen to the crowd..
Fourth and one on the goal, leave the kicker on the side...
Buckle up my friend and run a dive..
Or write your words and thoughts for all to see...
And learn to share your poems and a little more of me..

Carolyn Devonshire May 20, 2010 at 7:39 AM When we write our words and post them, we are often putting our hearts on the line, Michael. I especially liked the analogy regarding sharks. As indicated in my bio, they are among my few fears. Living near the ocean, I can assure you they dwell in shallow water. Watched a hammerhead chase a dog right out of the water and right up onto the beach! Danger can be found where least expected. Great write!! Love, Carolyn
