Not Afraid

I have an insatiable goal,

That weighs my options everyday;

And I fear I've lost control-

And I fear I must obey.

I've spent countless hours,

And countless days-

shuffling my mind,

In my attempts to appraise;

How people can be so easily swayed;

How even when you know that it's wrong-

Still for so long, you had stayed.

How true love, perhaps never fades,

then all at once,

scattered thoughts invade-

Trying to dodge the pain;

As you're screaming that you aren't afraid!
