Not a Mothers Love
I was lonely through the days
Tears and heartache came my way
Every time I thought of you
And the sorrow I went through
Other girls had moms who cared
But I was fragile and scared
Never knowing love or hugs
Only torture that would tug
At me all the time
Love of the abusive kind
Bruises on me from your fists
I never asked or wanted this
I saw other children's smiles
Stretched out arms held the a while
With happiness I could see
On their faces but not me
My smile never came around
I love you was not a sound
My ears and heart ever heard
Only mean and hurtful words
That a child shouldn't hear
Why did I have to live in fear
I was small and on my own
With the hatred you have shown
How could you be badly cruel
What did I ever do to you
My mind could never comprehend
How your heart could only send
Negativity and badness
Living my whole life in sadness
