Not a Good Start
I broke her heart
When we started our life
Was not a good start
Not on my life
We went our own ways
For so many years
I could picture her face
It would bring me to tears
Time had gone by
Memory of her fading
Then she walked by
I was so near to fainting
We talked for hours
And went for a drink
I bought her some flowers
I think they were pink
She grabbed my hand
My tension just mounted
We walked on the sand
It was just what I wanted
I told her I waited
All of my life
It was her I wanted
To be my wife
She told me yes
Bless her little heart
No longer a mess
I wanted to start
Now we are married
Its been quite a spell
I love her quite dearly
I’m sure you can tell
