Not a Garden Variety Rhyme
From time to time
I look at my lawn
Which makes me yawn
So I try to design
By expanding the mind
To get in sync
As I try to think
Of landscaping rhymes
I plant a hedgerow
For all to see
Poetic esprit
With creative tempo
Then in go some flowers
Of which nothing’s sweeter
Than blossoming meter
That amuse by the hour
It’s so fun to disperse
Over the grounds
Sights so profound
Rosy in verse
And the flora beat
Soothes the senses
Along the fences
A rhythmical feat
Since all is in bloom
I soak in the scene
Of a new rhyming scheme
That purges my gloom
