Nostalgia
Numb to the enthralling air that fills the ceaseless expanse grace.
Obscure to rusting leaves and the breeze gentle whisper.
Sense your flavor as once you used to lean in for a kiss as we'd embraced.
Teased invitation to intimacy as sounds echoed through the rooms.
Age took us one chapter to the next; laid precious paths of closeness.
Lacework caught in a dreamcatcher of our years not stopping there.
Good-byes came saturating loneliness as graying plaque this existence.
Isolated I am, fleeting into the ebon night with flickering light.
Among longing memories of your presence to go before I sleep.
