Normal Life

Back to normal life its time
Lets consider our normal lives
The life we all know
Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan
Apartment prices, oil, and gasoline
Ukraine, Russia over and over again
Standing by for what happens next
Banks implode, viruses explode

Ah yes don’t forget World War 1 and 2
Still there is Disney, and sunny skies
The squirrels that show up by
The kitchen window for nuts
And loving cats, dogs and smiles
Normal life is definitely complicated
I suppose its time — life is creative
Difficult, dark and still to be celebrated

Amazing how even through turmoil, a dog a cat a friend a poem, all can make us smile and ease the burden, I agree with you dear Linda, its time to go back to a little normal as best as we can, I truly enjoyed your poem today, have a blessed day, be well..

I am happy you ended this with a positive note. We do have a lot to celebrate. Keeping away from the nightly news helps. Though I need to watch it sometimes. I enjoyed your poem that took me back to normal and ended with a happy smile. Thank you Linda. Blessings xxoo
