No-One Ever Stays For Long

Fragile joy suddenly smashed,
Shock predictable attack,
Little fragments raining down,
Cutting at me deeper now,
All of you are just the same,
How much more can one heart take?
Straining underneath the lies,
One more way to make me cry,
Disappointment yet again,
Just give up and let you play,
Let me down and tear me up,
Use me 'til you've had enough,
Pass me round, then forget me,
Just the same. You'll regret me.

No-one ever stays for long.
No-one ever stays for long.

Sarah, Rhoda is right. All the failed relationships, and pain lead towards the eventual truth. You don't see it, you can't, but one day you will. You may be hurting, and I am so sorry as I feel you deeply, but simply put, each one is like a stepping stone leading to your true love, which is waiting for when you are both ready. It will happen. Believe it. Awesome poetry. Hang in there sweet friend. Big hugs and lots of love, Shar

Sad but full of truth nonetheless! A poetry poignant with pain! Brgds. George
