None But The Son of God
“1See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.” 1 John 3:1 NIV
None But the Son of God
Could accomplish our redemption;
Know the depth of His Father’s love;
Could manifest it to all creation.
The infinite sacrifice
Made by Christ on behalf of the fallen,
Expressed the greatest love and mercy
To a world not forgotten.
None But the Son of God
Could live amongst men.
A perfect life of service
To the children of men given.
So we may be lifted up
From ruin and degradation;
Reflect the love of God
In each and every nation.
None But the Son of God
Could reach each perishing race,
With His Father’s love;
Provide comfort from disgrace.
Subjects formerly of Satan—
Now subjects of the King.
Christ elevated humanity—
Hope of eternity to bring!
None But the Son of God
Could display God’s matchless love.
A character so divine;
Such great mercy from above.
He died that we might live;
Surrendered to Satan’s deathly blow.
So hope of eternity may be gifted us
In this sin-filled world below.
