-nobody Listens Anymore-

Nobody listens anymore,
For to listen, is a talented gift
a blessing to be, still, found.
For everybody wants to be heard,
And the noise of trying to get in a word
is so, deafening a sound.

That nobody listens anymore
and some pretend to listen with half an ear
then, half the message, is now but a lost sound
and half the lessons, have remained unlearn't.
All because there was no one to hear,
All because nobody listens anymore.

Dear Annalise, Thank-You for your Kind Words, but it is Your Poem's that are an inspiration to me.

This is so true...Listening is a gift that it seems so few of us possess. Enjoy reading this as it inspires me to be a better listener. Annalise
