Noah
I thank God for the gift given me,
writing words the way I perceive.
Most of my poems are for fun,
and by God's grace that's how they're done.
I mostly write about the Bible,
so Father don't hold me liable.
There were two Enochs written so plain,
image if you will that one's the son of Cain.
Which brings us to this thing called rain,
Noah had never seen this on the plain.
God said, Noah build me an ark,
yes Lord, I'll do my part.
After 120 years preaching rain he finished his boat,
Lord, so rain will make this thing float?
Then God says load the animals two by two,
Noah said okay Lord I'm still working for you.
When the water reached their ankles
I'm sure they said o' well,
after it reached their hips then they saw hell.
Noah let us in before it rains anymore,
he said I'm sorry the Lord has shut the door.
It's going to be simslar in times to come,
Jesus will take His and leave some.
Those who are left are not lost yet,
but you don't want to be one those you can bet.
Blessed are those who endure and make the list,
cause those who don't shall be burned to a crisp.
