No Tomorrow

What if there were no tomorrow,
Future promise rendered void,
Just one single day remaining
Long-term hopes and plans destroyed.

Would you waste it chasing rainbows,
Bearing grudges, preening pride?
Just one day for contemplation;
Who or what would be your guide?

A terrible thought to ponder unless you're 100 years old! Great poem

Nicely expressed thoughts that ring so much truth. Best wishes in the contest
