no to the annual Christma Party

Not one co-worker understood why I gave an emphatic no To the annual office Christmas party, without a ho ho ho They tried to cajole me or coax me to change my mind. But I know our employer, she is a diabolical kind. Apparently she put truth serum into the punch before guests came. They were telling all of their secrets without guilt or shame. Several got fired right afterwards, for lying on their apps. I felt pretty good that I stayed home and took two glorious naps. I still have my job, but am looking for a better place now. For I would like to attend a Christmas party, that is a wow. A place I could dress up, and might feel safe and warm. To share a confidence or a tidbit without fear of harm.
