No Remedy

It’s a tragic time  
When hearts do bleed
When a young  man lies dying
By another’s hand

We storm highest heavens
Cries of lingered pain
Wave of tears descending
And solidarity yearns

Gone too soon
Too soon to die
There’s no good reason ever-ever
What wasted lives

And it’s no remedy
To this senseless game
See no one's winning
And the piper plays on
But it’s no remedy
No remedy
It’s no remedy today

Silent detestation 
Follows the pain
Vicious circle appalling and hinders 
There’s no finding peace

To change the pathway
Let the young ones see
No hatred will heal them
When sanity’s lost

Gone too soon
Too soon to die
There’s no good reason ever
What wasted lives
