No Pomp and No Circumstance

You are my guru my confidant my long lost friend
come to me now before you’re put to an end - Silence

You are an out law invaded upon by every conceivable means
marked for smuggling in peace and quiet behind the scenes - Silence

You are removing blinders and showing clearly the light of day
a safe stealth vessel keeping the propaganda pigs at bay - Silence

You are an imagined allegoric can opener exposing my soul
slicing through the polluted facade of my Tin Man role – Silence

great metaphors, silence is indeed golden, imaganitive, introspective. I like this poem very much! Thanks for your kind comment, much appreciated. I don't judge anyone not my place, just soul searching, emotion, rhyme, thoughts spinning out of my head. Everyone is valued, we are all brothers and sisters. Thanks again.

Dear Edwin, if you have someone in your life who helps you see the truth in yourself and others, then you really do have a valued friend. We all have perceptions of ourselves that could be exposed buy someone who is honest and caring. Excellent poem! Love, Carolyn
