No Point In Having a Heart
"No Point In Having A Heart"
By: Andrew Stroud
My thoughts are scattered,
My mind is racing,
I'm thinking of you tonight,
While I walk around this house pacing.
...
I don't know what to do,
My heart is weak,
Even on tiring nights,
It makes it hard to sleep.
I promised you the world,
I gave you my heart,
and you took everything I had inside,
and tore it all apart.
I tell everyone I'm ok,
That I'm actually doing well,
But to be completely honest,
My life has gone to hell.
My dreams are shattered,
My heart is tore,
You took everything I had,
I don't have a soul anymore.
I never get to see you anymore,
You won't even answer my calls,
The only things I have left of us,
Are the pictures on my walls.
So I guess that you're the hero,
Yes, once again,
You still look cool,
While my heart tries to mend.
But there'd be no point,
My heart trying to mend as a goal,
Because there's no point in having a heart,
When you no longer have a soul.
