No One's Going Home
When at last came the day
That you walked out the door,
It was no big surprise
Since we’d been there before.
Though it wasn’t my wish,
And I want you to know
How it killed me inside
When I told you to go.
But it is what it is.
There’s no talking to you.
We both learned from the best.
That’s what anger will do.
And no one’s going home today.
Nothing’s ever gonna be the same.
There’s a crossroads waiting further on,
And no one’s going home.
As you walk through this world
Stay alert as you should
For the times when your heart
Can’t tell evil from good.
If there’s one thing I know,
It’s the way that you feel
When the sh*t hits the fan
And there’s no other deal.
Get it into your head,
It’s your poison to choose.
It’s a hard game to win
When you’re playing to lose.
And no one’s going home today.
Nothing’s ever gonna be the same.
There’s a crossroads waiting further on,
And no one’s going home.
