No One Said

No One Said

No one said that life would be easy
No one said I’d never feel any pain
No one said the misses
Would out weigh the gains

No one said there would be a tomorrow
No one said the sun would rise again
No one said that excuses
Would erase all our sins

No one said that we’d be together
No one said that our love would be that strong
No one said that what we do right
Will save us from the wrongs

No one said that we’re promised a lifetime
No one said we’d breathe another breath
No one said that we are exempt
Of the reality of death

No one said that life isn’t precious
No one said that we shouldn’t cherish every sec
No one said that living life recklessly
Isn’t over extending our neck

No one said that there is no value in hugs and kisses
No one said that we don’t need our daily fix
No one said that taking time to appreciate our loved ones
Shouldn’t be part of our daily mix
