We met through an acquaintance a Cretan from the age of men behaving badly Through poetry and books, it began a struggle of wills and spirits tamed but never broken Kindred lives of dishearted souls who found peace through times of silence our thoughts stirred by words that sang in a language each other’s soul knew and understood Our peace found in each others arm as we listened to a heart that sang a song no one else could hear
