No One Else But Me
I am like everybody else
created to be individually unique
which does blow your mind
for I feel to be really weak
A Scotsman born in Glasgow
adopted at six weeks moved to Ayrshire
lived out in the countryside
loved the outdoors never did tire
Always had stammering difficulty
hard to speak no matter the scene
in later years loved classical music
brought calm to mind felt so clean
Then got into poetry for real
reading and writing loved this time
such verse that inspired the mind
life's now in tuneful rhyme
I'm now in retirement years
enjoying life and loving Christine
celebrated silver wedding last year
where have all the years been?!!
