No One

The world is burning
Forest blaze; the world
is turning, in a maze
A labyrinth with walls
So high, no one longer
See’s the sky.

No one longer see’s
the Earth; as buzzards
Soar above the dearth
Decay and pillage on
The ground; human
failure so profound

No one see’s the
Minotaur; dash through
The caves to even
Score; enraged for
Earth that we did smite
Intent on us with all
His Might!

David, What stands out most to me in this poem is your line: "human failure so profound" Sadly true as your message in this poem is profound. love, Connie

Powerfully profound piece you have penned here David. Extremely deep and so filled with the truth of how life can be interpreted these days ...evil comes in many shapes and guises. Thanks so much for sharing and for taking the time to read my writes. Have a Wonderfully Blessed day~Mary

And God said, "...replenish the earth." And only a few tried to do it...sadly. Excellent poem, David. (Also, thank you for reading my poem "For God's Sake." I don't know whether you tried the links at the bottom, but I just realized they were incorrect. The correct links have now been posted. Sorry if it caused inconvenience.) Now, I must say again, the words in this poem succinctly address the problem man must now face...a ravaged earth. Good work. Let us all pray. Lovingly, Dane Ann

The fearsome minotaur. Would that be Satan, David. I feel he is everywhere these days. Good write! Luv, Andrea
