No More Nice Pumpkin!

I'm a little pumpkin,
Perfect for your needs;
Open up my rounded top,
Remove those tiny seeds

Use your crafty wits,
To carve my gaping eyes;
Create in me a daunting smile,
Much to one's surprise

Place a well-lit candle,
Inside my hollow head;
I'm now a wicked Jack-o'-lantern,
My face will scare you dead!

As the week ends I find myself reading and enjoying the many diverse poems here at PoetrySoup today. I am glad to see your poetry among these Milton. It has been awhile since I seen you post. Have a wonderful weekend. Love, Carol

This description could fit some people I know too, Milton. They start out beautiful and innocent and are carved up by the evils in todays world. I think there's more here than the words on the surface. Very intriguing rhyme! Love, Carolyn
