No More Neon Nights

NO MORE NEON NIGHTS There was a neon sky as a prologue to the rain While colors flickered brightly at twilight I missed the rain but eventually felt the pain While the septic sky was an epilogue to a loathsome night The sky, swear do i, became electrified As blazed the sun which was dying While I sat there knowing her love as well had died And then the moon stole the neon that dusk was denying Two hands that clutched tightly would be no more No more of such demonstrative love There sat I as she oiled out my door With no neon sky hovering high above I saw electric purple, green, and red As my room was wrapped in silence that eve Then suddenly this is what the lady said She uttered “I’ve found another lover so I shall take my leave” © 2011.…Phreepoetry ~free cee!~
