No More, I'M Sorry

He let her walk on out the door
He couldn’t say, “I’m sorry”, any more
Tears were still wet on the pillow case
He watched her go with a solemn face

Seems he always had to apologize
Even when the untruths were her lies
Finally he came to realize
She was the only one needing alibis

She always made him feel like he did wrong
He fell in step with that dance and song
And with her lies she strung him along
Thinking he was weak and she was strong

Finally he woke up to the realities
He was not to blame for her infidelities
It was time for him to take a stand
He didn’t need her to be prove he’s a man

He let her walk on out the door
He couldn’t say, “I’m sorry”, any more
The only one he needed to apologize to
Was to he himself and no longer you
