No More

From time to time
I listen to your troubles
It's always the same
Again, the cookie crumbles
Succumb to the daring game
Of life popping its bubbles

How can it be
That I never find you
What is it now
What is it I can do
Shall I take a bow
When my time is through

Where are you
When I need a friend
The same recording
Over and aver again
There is no such thing
As a friend 'til the end

It has finally come
To let you know
Words I cannot say
But actions do show
A law has been laid
You need to go

Overwhelmed by guilt
Yet, relieved by the fact
I have made my point
A day gone bad
Deserves another joint
Relax and lay back

What tomorrow brings
Is the deck being cut
Now it's on me
Gambling with blind luck
Pockets remain empty
For help, I look up

Please understand
My priorities galore
But your ears won't hear
And I wouldn't want to bore
So let's keep it real
We shall take no more
