No Man's Land

A darkened void
Dreamless nightly
Asleep you seldom see

Tossing madly
While holding tightly
I'm simply cursed to be

Alone without you
Though you're near
I'm thirsting for just a touch

A bed divided
A silent tear
We just don't talk that much

So take my heart
Before it dies
And leaves me slowly bleeding

For love lives on
Despite the lies
It's only you I'm needing

In love I lay
In pain I stay…
