No Love

No Love

Yes I have dreamed of a better life
But I don’t think you understand
Money can’t make it better
Nor will travel across the land

I have dreamed of a better life
And wished for someone to care
Whether I live or whether I die
Just knowing someone is there

I have been told many times
I would have all I want or need
But something was lost in translation
I am still left wanting indeed

Let me tell you just what I want
It is true love and so hard to find
I have searched the world over
And have found no love that would bind

It is just now I am getting weary
And I feel no hope for my quest
It has made me feel old and empty
And I just want to stop and rest.

But I will give it one more try
There is surely someone out there
In this world of so many souls
That would like to have love to share.

There is a terrible tragedy afoot
And it is a very sad thing to see
I don’t want to die all alone
But I fear it shall happen to me
