No Longer

The storm of sadness is rooted deep within my soul. Downpours of salty rain are beyond my control. You are drowning me. Your razors of words are harshly embedded When the intimacy that we both shared is regretted. How can this be? My pleas for forgiveness are devoured by your stare. These insignificant words you can no longer bare. Resentment grows stronger. Our closeness and love, now held by the past, Could not clear the shadow your anger had cast. I exist no longer.
