No In Between
When you turned the knife
I shut out the light
Ill be sleepin' with one eye open tonight
You've fooled me again
I can't let you in
My trust (how you say) "blew away with the wind"
I kept hopin' though
(for a moment or so)
you were gonna return all the favors you owe
I'm just such a fool
for believing in you
(I'll be lockin' the door in a minute or two)
I try shutting you out
but I still have my doubts
that you're gonna survive it within or without
Ya gotta stay clean
if you know what I mean
it's one or the other - there's no in between
