No Electricity Today
I sit in the dark, electricity gone
pondering options, will we have lights by dawn?
storm has taken out power, pink electricity in the sky
a monsoon-like shower, cannot help wondering why.
other people have lights;
we have not had ours for hours
this blackness gives me frights
where is our electric power?
