No Common Ground

5/26/21

Get off your high horse now
Obviously we got no common ground
So quick to put me down
And to spread my business around
The town
Because you think I've been a clown
People like you, I wouldn't help, I'd watch you drown
Because what you got away with, should have never been allowed
Which is why I must put a stop to it now

You thought you've been preaching to the choir
But you are playing with fire
Of you I tire
You disgust nearly ever fiber
Of my being, truth is I'm wiser
And nicer
Even though I'm always getting drunk and higher
Situations turned dire
But I did what was required
You sit there on a telephone wire
Fast to call me a liar
As I do my thing near and far from briar

From here to way beyond the Netherlands
You're off in neverland
The turmoil and challenge is turning me into a better man
Traveling in and out of desert sand
How you treated me and others could leave you forever damned
Winding up with much more than severed hand

Among world wonders
Often praising others
It's good to see your true colors
You punk ass mother f**** er

Never was all cookie cutter
People and animals continuing to suffer
Eventually going under
Meanwhile there's no end to world hunger

As life keeps on getting tougher
The strength and what it takes, I muster

Easy tiger, way to go slugger
From so much alcohol, takes some time to recover

All these money grubbers
And blood suckers

The very thought of it makes most shudder
During every Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer

Oh what a bummer
You always ducked for cover
Or acted like you were in the midst of slumber
People getting dumber and dumber
Obsessed with materials and numbers
