No Approval Here

“I don’t want or need anyone’s approval”
And I used to think I was the immature teen
I’m your daughter, I should matter
But you’re a lost cause, sorry to be mean

Why’d you have me?
What made you think you could handle it?
You had smarter ways out
Instead of such a rocky way to quit

You now have a new man
Of course, who else would you have?
I’m sorry for the both of you
You‘re a poison made of two halves
You get angry when others help
Do you do it for laughs?

I’m sick of giving myself up
I’m not guilty anymore
I tried my best, I’ll live
While you’re stuck far from shore
My thoughts fueled the water
Making the tears pour
Now drown in your lies and hate
For I shall not listen your words of war
