No, Officer, You Are Mistaken
No, Officer, You Are Mistaken
By Elton Camp
When they spotted Zuma standing outside the bar
Two cops pulled over and asked her to their car
“Ma’am, what you’re doing is illegal as can be
And this type of conduct we don’t like to see.”
“You may be making money and having some fun
What you’re doing is harmful to you and your John.”
“I really feel sort of sorry for a girl who is so cute
But we must book you for being a prostitute.”
Zuma looked at him with such an innocent smile
“So am I to be condemned without even a trial?”
“I can’t believe that you think I’m a sorry whore.
That type of woman I simply detest and abhor.”
Prostitution produces kids that end up on the dole
In combating that evil I am playing a major role.”
“The actual truth is that it is condoms that I sell
I give free demonstrations of their use as well.”
