Nightmares

Nightmares
A sweet dream gone wrong
He whispers, his lips an icy blue
Tears fall swift as you look upon
The boy you thought you knew

He’s changed you see
Clear as night during the day
Who else could he be
Except the soul that went away

As pale as snow he is
	No sparkle to be seen
A walk too sad to be his
Tear filled eyes no longer green

A world filled with grey and dusk
	Never to be morn
Not a boy but an empty husk
	A nightmare was born

A hiss a scream the creature wakes
	An earth shattering shriek
The canyon quakes
	A moment so bleak

Then there he is again
The boy you knew way back when

An enjoyable read, Jackie. Since you labeled it "I do not know" as to form, I can tell you that a poem with every other line containing an end rhyme is called a Quatrain. Thanks for sharing
