Nightmare
What dread fear lurks in the dark
What silent terror breaks your heart
What endless sorrow leaves it’s mark
What monster hungers to do its part
What do you wish to never see
What walks the nights of eternal pain
What comes in dreams you cannot flee
What drinks the blood of scarlet rain
What hunts the weak and takes the poor
What will devour all joy and light
What lusts for death, decay and gore
What stalks a path of broken blight
What chains all hope and stays all life
What belongs to the deepest hells
What revels in pointless strife
What could be a beast so fell
