Nightmare 3

A twenty minute nap Is an eternal sleep I can’t live through my nightmares But I wake in soaking weep I went to a secluded spot I love hiking in the nude Fell asleep in the mountains Not easy to intrude Sun peeking between foliage Making a serene place It’s time for me to relax Enjoy my own space I feel hot I’m seeing me when I was young Flashes of old pictures From when my life had begun I see a match The sulfur I smell He lights my pictures on fire Too late to yell There goes my young life No one else will know What looked like as a baby There’s nothing but ashes to show Back to the motel So much for relaxation time Please don’t let me fall asleep These nightmares are not mine Getting ready to go back home Starting to pack my things I have to drive past his house Wondering what nightmares that will bring It’s a terrible feeling To constantly die By a man you love so much Who just won’t give love a try
