Nightmare 2

I took a walk In the middle of the night Enjoying the crisp cool air No sun to be bright Turning a corner My ex sits in a chair Hollers my name I show no fear I enter his home Four children fast asleep He has a daughter now His precious soul to keep We reminisce He shows me keepsakes from the past He kept everything he could Hoping we’d be together at last These items are from years ago But I acknowledge their worth We only had six children When divorce unearthed We spoke in rhythm There was no reason for hate Until I found how the little girl Was who I sent to heavens gate My ex tried his hardest To produce guilt on me His family showed up But let me be It was a huge house Something we would have made If we only had trust in each other And the family we made We spent days Going over the all the wrongs I fell into his trap Right where I belonged He left old letters and Other items that caused him pain Everywhere in my dream But his silence of love stayed the same The little girl was Never again to be seen He didn’t want her to start with But I forgave him in my dream He put gas in my truck Left a beautiful card on the seat It said I‘ll love you forever In heaven we’ll again meet Lost in thought I turned the key He blew up my truck That was what woke me
