Nightmare
Raindrops lazily trickle down your window pane
Locked inside and fast asleep are thoughts in vain
The storm culminates in an unleashed flurry
Falsehoods unveiled as the calmness leaves with a hurry
The thoughts that were in vain now turn to something ill
The eye of the storm is misleading as everything stands still
Violently tossing and turning everything is not what it seemed
The gentle raindrops were real in the wake of another bad dream
