Dear Eve, feels like a literal heartbeat on the page. I kept coming back to that "up, down, up, down" rhythm, it perfectly captures the physical mechanicality of a songbird’s chest while the rest of the world is lost in a "summer swoon." A beautiful tension between the vastness of the "waxing moon" and the tiny, frantic "scarlet gauzy light" of the bird. Blessings, Daniel
