Night Vision

I walk the rocky path at night
to ease my psychic pain.
And now I'm having second-sight
while traveling in the rain.

The droplets fall upon my face
and mix in with my tears.
Some things in life you can't erase
till you confront your fears.

The sky grows darker than my heart
and quiets every cloud.
I'll learn my lines and play my part
but shall not speak out loud.

My eyes grow dim with thoughts so bleak
as I climb through the trees.
A certain peace of mind I seek
that's written in the breeze.

Now on back home I make my way
as cover of night grows pale.
I find the demons kept at bay
As hope I will inhale.

Deb, This is deep. You take courage and hold on..those dark clouds are only for a day. Hold on to your faith in God as He loves you beyond words. Hope you're doing well. Love, Audrey

Powerful part for me....I'll learn my lines and play my part but shall not speak out loud. This is sad that your psychic connections enslave you. Excellent piece, Deb. Missed reading your work.
