Night To Day
Night to day
Night to day
Give us the night this star possessed,
When darkness holds desires,
For spirits heed the softer strains
That time could not abandon;
And trapped are we in this time of change
Where moonshine ignites the darkness,
But who shall light our path of tread
In a serenity of the solitude
I sleep in wait till daylight breaks
And dreams are dead and gone,
Until what is held ‘tween sound and lights
Enkindled the quiet dawn;
Conceived is not our lost intent,
Nor the indifference of the light,
But all is past when thoughts remain
In the sunlit beams of day
