Night Terrors

I wake up screaming, then I fall back asleep.
Before the night is over this process will repeat.
When I awake for the day I have no memory
of my previous evening's most disturbing sleep.
These aren't nightmares. They're inconceivable horrors.
I think I may be afflicted with what is known as night terrors.

My brother had them when we were kids. They were just as you describe. He'd run up and down the halls screaming. I'd sit him down and hold him until he'd quiet down and then say, "What are we doing here?" He'd go right back to sleep.
