Night Sky

Night Sky
In the evening sky are clouds of pinks, blues and gold
All that remains on the way up are good friends of old

Drifting alone it feels like they are all washed away
Secluded old age grey is the remains of the day

Angry seas roaring are reaching for the stars
Path into the darkness alone walking is it far

Beyond the bridge of shadows is light at the end
Evening of life fades to grey will my heart mend

There is mist on the river as the day is fading
Is it children of the night alone there wading

Lost in sadness not what you see but what you feel
Together forever as light and shadows is so real

With a star to guide her somewhere in the night
Gentle on my mind as the beautiful moon light

All squared away as nothing now makes no sense
Now find a new alley don't ever set on the fence

After hours when the lights are way down
In the mood for silence on my face now a frown

And now my memory that no longer has a shape
Winter comes calling and from it I can- not escape.....
