Night Sky

Reached the sky
Opened up my eyes
Made myself resist all your lies
I hung for days
I began to pray
Your eyes would contradict all you say

Took your hand
Pulled you from the sand
But buried you again with my demands
Help me see
Why you can not speak
Tell me why you hide away from me

Run away
I knew you’d never stay
Lies had once again come out to play
I let it go
The sky begins to snow
I’m falling down from everything I know

No more pain
Scars just bleed away
Desperation nowhere to persuade
Singing rhymes
Falling from all time
Tears in my eyes tell me I’m fine

The buildings falling down let me smile again
The darkness in me drowns as I breathe again
Nothing quite comes close to the end of this
The dying hearts and frowns fading into bliss
Bringing to an end all my emptiness
Fleeting lies and pain as I reminisce
Soon I will forget and begin again
Darkness in me sets as I reach the night sky again
