Night Silence
N ow that darkness falls
I yawn and nod my head.
G oodness knows it's time for bed.
H ow I love the warm coziness.
T hat envelopes me.
S hrouded in feather duvet,
I say my nightly prayer.
L et me and mine be blessed.
E ventually sleep overcomes me.
N othing disturbs the silence but the
C lock alarm. I wake with a start.
E nergised for another day.
