Night Reader

And with a smile
In deepest night,
I read a book at shimmery light

A book with stories from the past,
from childhood to adult
which last

And then at dawn
yet in my bed
I'm not asleep but read instead

So I can greet the morning sun
with sleepy eyes
but also fun

And people, stories
cross my mind
All from this book
I read whole night
