Night Note
Another day has come and gone.
Another verse in summer’s song.
With notes provided by the birds.
With thoughts soft spoken without words.
Comforts of home surround us here.
Knowing that family lingers near.
Knowing that love will see us through.
The energy in all we do.
Ready to put our cares away.
Sleep till the start of another day.
But one last thing before I do.
Sending a thought from me to you.
Hoping you’ll send one back my way.
When you close your eyes to another day.
