Night Gazer

sleeping souldly in my bed
awoken by a sudden storm
unable to sleep from there on in
i decide to walk to my window
peering out from my clear, glass perch
gazing out beyonds the clouds
thunder claps and lightning falls
illuminating my room for a split second
and the sound the thunder made
like a voice in the midnight sky
whispered to me secrets
and bestowed me with sleep
so yet again i tiresomely walked
back across the room into my bed
and as i lie, a sleeping child
my dreams fallow the storm
