Night Flight
Wanted to go where no man had gone before
Wanted to soar.
Flap my wings and fly,
While racing birds across the sky.
Catch a cloud
The air whispering so loud.
My heart starts to sing ,
With a flip of my wing.
The sun on my back
My wings grow slack.
I start my dive,
Feeling so alive.
Gravity takes hold ,
Cant help but feel so bold.
With words, such a feeling can't be told.
Lost to the moment in time ,
My mind forms this rhyme.
This moment in flight,
Gives me new sight.
Makes everything so new.
I took this chance, and away I flew.
And as I grew,
Soaring across the sky,
I knew why,
Wings dipped in the morning dew
Life was mine ,only while I flew
