Night Falls Like the Leaves
Dear memories from the past,
and the daydreams that they cast.
A different time, a different love,
when life fit just like a glove.
Every day like a movie,
the sixties, they were groovy.
But dark clouds ruin the day,
and dark visions come to play.
We trade our lives for money,
calling the dark clouds sunny.
Seeing love's smiling face,
and how it's our saving grace.
Giving that look that grabs hold,
never doing what you're told.
The night it falls, like the leaves,
a man prays...like he believes.
